I used to be a patient person. How I knew about it? People told me so. I used to work at school and my boss wrote on my letter of recommendation how patient I was with students. I guess I have changed. I am losing my patience. I find myself less and less patient with people I interact with on a daily basis. I just lose it. I no longer feel the need to be patient with people. Or rather I refuse to step into their shoe and see it from their perspective.
More patience.

ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely an impatient person.
ReplyDeleter&e, yes i think i can feel it from your posts especially those from the c9 blog and some of your comment replies.
ReplyDeletewp2007
ReplyDeleteI forgot why I stopped replying your comments.
I also find myself less patient. I am not sure that is because I am getting older or just get more and more arrogant for no reason.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the link-in LCL. I guess the type of patience that my family was talking about last weekend with my little bro is more about patience for mastering something as opposed to patience with people. When it comes to patience with people I think it depends on who and for what - i.e. I've plenty of time for people who don't have a clue through no fault of their own and who're willing to learn, but I found I can stand less and less those stick-in-the-muds and pretensious SOBs.
ReplyDeleteI think I know the feeling, ghorse and snowdrops. While humility is the right thing to do, sometimes, you just can't help it especially to those who has an attitude that outsizes their aptitude. As to getting older that's true to a certain extent, like you are a grumpy old man or you realize your time or your life is actually finite and you actually have less time in hand than you actually thought you have, that's gonna make you impatient for sure. On the other hand, you may reach certain tranquility....
ReplyDeleteCongratulation ! Usually teenagers are more impatient than the aged.
ReplyDeleteVisit the elder home, you will know age is not the key point , except physical and mental factors.
Sometimes, your feelings tell you something from yr heart or your mind, or both (when they are fighting each other).
Outside factors, such as naughty students, trouble-making friends, evil bosses, bad economies were / are just ignition key(s). They tell you their stories.
Agree, "mastering" is a positive mindset for action to winwin.
Another cryptic message from AK. So Zen ....
ReplyDeleteSometimes, when we are irritated by someone or by their behaviour that we dislike, our feelings (ranging from being hurted.....to angry) come out naturally.
ReplyDeleteOur brains will analysis and list out numerous reasons to support our judgement on them. While our hearts act like mediators, try to comfort or calm us down.
When stimulation trigger such feelings again, we may losing more patience if we try to avoid facing them.
