MacPro3,1 can't split power from the 4-pin molex

I got one of those splitter but it won't work.  There are two 2 4-pin molex power plug in the drive bay of the MacPro3,1.  But you need 2 power adapters to convert the 4-pin molex to SATA power.  No luck with the Y splitter for that.  My boot drive, no ask me why, resides on that drive bay, using the power from the Y splitter when both are attached won't even boot up the MacPro3,1.  I mean using the Y splitter is totally fine as long as you only use one of the Y splitter but that defeats the purpose totally, doesn't it?  Got another adapter cable and now the BR drive and the SSD draws power separately and they work at the same time.  Hooray.

More Apple Hardware Updates

Apple formally announces the introduction of 802.11n. Speed is definitely in the air. Apple is going to charge $1.99 for Core 2 Duo Mac users to enable this 802.11n feature. That doesn't sound nice or generous at all considering it's a software or firmware upgrade. Apple also claims to be "the leaders in wireless innovation ... and leading the way into a new generation with 802.11n." iThink Linksys came out with the 802.11n router way earlier. But Apple has gotten into the habit of ignoring and abusing Linksys anyway, like Apple totally took the iPhone name with no respect to Linksys ownership of the name. Well from day one, Apple had been pretty brazen in terms of name grabbing. The name Apple was used by Apple Records before there was Apple Computer but Jobs took it anyway.

For those of you whose wife thinks there is too much radiation going on inside your apartment and hence bans WiFi, I feel truly sorry for you.

Barber Shop in Chinatown

Nowadays I loathe to have my haircut, that's why I seldom have mine cut, maybe once or twice a year. I went back to Chinatown. I could ...
