2010

The new decade begins with confusion and chaos because nobody in the English speaking world can agree on how to pronounce the year 2010.

    I don't see the need to have a grand unified version here. Either Two Thousand and Ten, or Twenty-ten will do just fine. But from 2011 onwards, I think Two Thousand and Eleven and so on and so forth will fade away because it's too long for the spoken word. Then Twenty-eleven, Twenty-twelve and Twenty-thirteen will prevail. I do hope I can retire in Twenty-seventeen at the age of 55.
