Wondering Aloud

Cindy Sherman is an established artist. She is an artist but is she really the photographer of her works? Does she really press the shutter herself? Most of her better known photographic works are self portraits of herself in sort of role playing scenarios. She either focused the camera and set it on a self-timer or or had an assistant to press the shutter for her. She is more of an artist who chooses photographs as a medium than simply a photographer.
