Kindle DX
Online juggernaut Amazon just announced its bigger and pricier Kindle DX. The 9.7 inch thingy is asking for $489 a pop and is ready for pre-order. The older 6-inch average sized Kindle is ready to ship for a $359. No thank you. I will choose dead tree any day of the week, month or year if I ever need to read.

why don't you like it? (ok, i prefer real books, too. but the idea is v convenient.)
ReplyDeleteI like it if I don't have to pay for it and if I can get all those ebooks for free. For paper books, you really don't need to babysit them, but I am not so sure about the Kindle. Plus if I buy a book, I can share that with my wife, my friends, I can give it away, but with Kindle, I am not sure. I can just drop my book into my bag and drop my bag to the floor and the book still reads like new, with Kindle, I am afraid it is not the case. That said I am sure it's convenient as Jeff Bezos eloquently and tirelessly pointed out. But the price tag is really off-putting to me. Basically I like all gadgets.
