  2. Ireland is technologically very advanced nowadays.

    It is home to many high-tech electronic industries like mobile phones and similar stuff.

    It's also got plenty of able and world-renowned programmers.

    At least that's what I heard.

  4. Hey Sidney, yes Ireland is meant to be quite technologically advanced, what with Intel and IBM and eBay etc. locating their EMEA headquarters here. (Actually a friend gave up her PhD and is now working in IBM). Unfortunately, technologically-advanced our programmers may be, we're still screwed as customers when it comes to consumer electronics.

    WP2007: Bill Clinton is not Irish per se, although I think he claims some distant Irish heritage in his family tree. But that doesn't matter, as he's actually been made an honorary Dubliner when he visited us back in 2002/2003? I remember seeing him being awarded that honour outside Trinity College.
