Yashica Mat-124 G

The re-birth.  I sent it for a quick fix and now it's back.  I have an easier time focusing with it than the Hasselblad.  I think it's a nice camera for medium format.

  1. Wow, looks very impressive, and in working order, too! There's such a charm to old cameras that the new plasticky models simply can't compete with, no matter how ergonomic the latter may be. Your Yashica Mat is such a work of art in itself.

Must say also that your recent series of black and white photos have been very inspiring. Just wish that we also have similar snow scenes in Dublin in the last while rather than rain and sleet!

Wishing you and yours a Happy 2010!

  2. I am sure you can find beauty in Dublin. Sometimes you just need to go out and shoot that's it. Once you started it got easier at least on the mechanics. But I have that to overcome myself as well.

It is flattering to hear that my photos can be inspiring. I look forward to seeing some of your shots and your writings as well because I need to be inspired too.

    Have fun in 2010.

Civil War (2024)

This is basically a Dorothy yellow brick road kind of story.  Also, something to do with the new replaces the old, the circle of life thing....
