Nowadays I loathe to have my haircut, that's why I seldom have mine cut, maybe once or twice a year. I went back to Chinatown. I could ...

You're like 5 foot 11 or 6 feet. Still need to roll up your jeans legs. I thought it's a privilege of guys like me. Are jeans full of holes still in vogue, buddy?

Are jeans full of holes still in vogue? I don't think so. No.
ReplyDeleteAs I got older I think I am getting shorter. I used to wear 32" inseam now I go for 30". I think probably I used to wear them on the waist or even high waisted like an old man does. Now I just wear it lower and lower as the belly grows bigger and bigger? For rolled up legs, I opt for 34" or longer depending on availability.
ReplyDeleteI still remember the time you bought your Levi's 501 at Gap (Gap no longer carries Levi's anymore) and the sales clerk was in awe when he saw your credit card Chinese signature, more like, calligraphy, actually. You wore a 34" waist size back then. I finally caught up with you now.
It was heaven on earth back then, mate. It's my first and only 501 ever. I like it so much it's become a collector's item to me, safe and sound in my wardrobe. I think my size hasn't changed much since then. I was thinner at the time but I liked to wear my 501 a little oversize.
ReplyDeleteOh, BTW, my signature is getting more and more good-looking. A lot better than in 1989, I think. In hindsight, I should have kept that credit card slip or receipt.
I do miss you, Fung, Christine & You Know Who. And the big gang of classmates of yours when we had soup together in a nice restaurant somewhere in Manhattan. That's one of the best moments in my life. No exaggeration, pal.
Sid
I don't know the You Know Who part but that's OKAY.
