The Tennis Court As Fashion Runway

Lady in Red
Sharapova can just go clubbing after dispatching her opponent in 50 minutes in a two set victory, partly by blinding Roberta Vinci in her 600 Swarovski crystals encrusted little red dress. The dress is seamless ... is it a good thing? I don't know, probably it is.

Man in Black
Federer wears his tennis tuxedo. Notice the shorts has nice satin trimming on the side (not seen) and a much narrower leg openings.

The Nike stable has some very nice outfits for its top dogs.

Related tennis/fashion blog site. And here. And here. Americans aren't too crazy about tennis, but if you mix it up with good looking guys, gals and fashion, well you may have something here, at least for the fortnight that's called the US Open.

  3. Amazing killer red dress, I can see why the other gal didn't have a chance at all...

  4. The other gals can't out pretty her maybe, but she sure is beatable in a court of tennis. She just got ousted in the round of 16 by Radwanska. The USTA, the cable TV operators, the sponsors are all mourning for her early departure.

  5. So I just read. Maybe she wasn't wearing her "lucky" dress?

Btw, there's been almost nil coverage of the U.S. Open over here, and the little there was were all about Tim Henman (and that was more about his retirement than how he's doing in the tournament).

  6. You were right, she wasn't wearing her whole little red dress ensemble, apparently the only red piece she was wearing underneath (the Chinese gambler's wisdom?) didn't help.

Over here there is scant coverage of the event. With the early departure of Sharapova, S. Williams, and last night Roddick, that's not going to help.

Here unless you are a tennis fan, you wouldn't know Henman is retiring after September or the US Open. The US press totally dis him. He seems like a nice guy, I saw him practice.

Barber Shop in Chinatown

Nowadays I loathe to have my haircut, that's why I seldom have mine cut, maybe once or twice a year. I went back to Chinatown. I could ...
