I too lament the time I spent procrastinating by going online reading blogs and engaging in ultimately fruitless online debates instead of doing what I should be doing... finishing my bloody PhD!!!

Some of my old friends are my inspiration like vl2007, wp2006 and ss2006, they are pretty well read and knowledgeable despite some are actually crazy and demented.

No, you are wrong, for my bad eyesight since last year, I almost give up reading or keep it to a minimum, the "progressive lens" seems not much helpful to me. Now I absorb the knowledge from you, your eyes become my eyes to the outside world. Now I watch DVD more often than reading, even reading newspaper become a burder to me
