  2. You know, this is the oldest lens I own and use. And it's been broken and fixed once because it was in a car accident on Garden State Parkway one raining night in New Jersey. The car crashed into a tree off the highway and I got knocked out ... good thing I wore the seatbelt. The car was totally gone. I wasn't the driver.

Anyway, I really like this lens. Except when used with my D70 I have to guess EVERYTHING. And focusing is hard as the view finder is small. It's not ideal to take kids' pictures. So I took pride in those outcomes.

When I took those, I was thinking they aren't going to appear in National Geographic or People. So I picked JPEG basic (or normal) the lowest quality. Normally I shoot JPEG fine. If I shoot RAW, post process and sharpen I think they may even appear better. These are just straight from the camera.

I always think maybe I should get another 50mm f1.4 but AF version. I really like the images rendered by this lens.
