Shawnee Ski Trip

Mr. Harry

Mr. Alex and Me. We were heading up the black diamond trail. NOT. I think that was one of the easiest slope we are heading up to. Seems like I am forever stuck in the beginner's level. It's hard to make any break through. That pretty much sums up my life.

You are too old for a snowboarder.
I never snowboard. I only ski. Old people ski. As skiers everywhere would tell you, they hate snowboarders who fall a lot on the slopes.

  5. Vincent,

I have to agree I am too old for this snowboarding shit. I do this just to spite the skiers, like you.

I think snowboarders being the outlaws were a thing of the past, there are just as many bad ass skiers as boarders.

I wish I could do better linked turns but I just couldn't.

The accomplished snowboarders make it look easy, twisting and turning. But for old guys like us, just forget it. I never bothered to learn to snowboard even 16 years ago when I first learned to ski and then I was a lot younger. But as you guys know too well, I am old at heart.

  7. Like I said, 60 is the new 40, plus you seem to have a lot left in your tank, I am sure you can do whatever you want to do.

The problem with skiing in New York is the snow condition is hardly optimum and for beginners it's really a pain when you fall a lot.

When I first started I skied but then I wasn't good at all. So I switched to snowboard and I bought my Burton board, boots and binding. So there is no going back. I still suck at it.
