Global Warming

Global warming, what global warming? New York City has been in a deep freeze since two, three weeks ago. And I am seeing no end to it. Well maybe next week.

This winter in Hong Kong is the warmest in memory. It is just unbelievable. It's like summer here.

  2. Growing up in Hong Kong, I do remember there was a time we had Winter, Summer, if not so obvious Spring or Fall. Now it's more like Summer all year round. Winter fashion is going down the drain I guess.

This winter, my 650 count down parka is like surgically attached to my body.

  6. People like to blame Americans on everything and anything. If you are poor, it's American's fault, if you can't fart, it's American's fault. It's convenient.

  7. it's US 0.3 billion population consumed 80% of earth's natural resources. We are just part of a developing 3rd world country China

  9. then you change to use a smaller car, a smaller freezer, a small heater, a smaller TV, a smaller house and you can save more than me

If the Chinese and Indians are going to have the American way of life, this world is coming to an end as we know it. As I see it, this is a rather hopeless situation. There's no way out.

  11. There is a way out. If Wp2006 stops running his air conditioner 365 days a year. It's just ridiculous.

  12. your style of command or request was just like your Government stop Iran and North Korea to own nuclear weapons but you owned the most nuclear weapons. Or your government ordered China stop export the weapons but your are the largest weapon exporter. The charges on my air cond consumption is much much less than your oil consumption for your big car

  13. Hey, I don't speak for the US Government, if you feel like to blame everything on the US Government, go ahead, it's not the first time and won't be the last. Go ahead, take your taxi to and from work, while you can take public transportation. Turn on your a/c because you can.

Remind me how big 'xiao lou' was?
I think it was less than 120 sq ft and three guys lived there. We also entertained guests like William from time to time. We consumed a lot less energy back then. At that time, William lived in Tu Gua Wan, and now he lives in Hollywood. The winter in 06/07 is indeed very different from the freezing cold winter of 82/83.

  15. New York City just got its first snow storm yesterday. Actually it wasn't much a storm but I heard it did interrupt some train service.

It's unbelievable how the three of us could live there for about 2 years

Barber Shop in Chinatown

Nowadays I loathe to have my haircut, that's why I seldom have mine cut, maybe once or twice a year. I went back to Chinatown. I could ...
