Some pictures

Apple picking from last Sunday. The picture uploading process hasn't been smooth for the past hour or so. It's been crashing my box. So far only one picture got loaded. I don't know if it's Google's problem or my problem. Most likely problem on my side ....

America is a place of hope and happiness, even the apples on the tree can made people very happy. That's why Adam ate the apple that was given by Eva

  2. Succulent apples galore. Mother Nature has always been generous. Let's take good care of our natural environment.

I think it's more likely that it's a problem with Google. With such a large system running, Murphy's Law always sets in.

  3. Sadly I think it's my Ubuntu that causes the crash. I tried my XP machine, and it's fine. So I don't know what's going on, which is the worse part.

  4. Great picture, sorry you couldn't upload more. Where did you go apple-picking? Some place up state? Here we don't really have apple-picking family outings in autumn (unless one owns an actual orchard him/herself, which is very rare), instead we have strawberry-picking in the summer.

Let's don't confuse people here, normally the chick is called Eve.

    sidney sweet:
They have delicious and Macintosh, both are good. They are smaller than you would normally find in supermarkets and the color is dull but I guess it's a good thing as they don't have those waxy stuff applied on the surface. We did try to be nice to the orchards. But they do use plastic bags, like most places in New York.

    snowdrops:
Those are by the way really crisp apples.

Yes, we drove on I-87, got off at exit 15A and then some 30 min local traffic, the place is called Masker Orchards, they have a website out there. We just picked a whole plastic bag for around $18. On our way out, we also bought from them a couple of apple ciders which Alex likes. Last year, we did some cherry picking around there too.

Usually we go to Long Island for whatever fruit picking but we decided to give this one a try. On our way back, we stopped by Woodbury Commons at Exit 16 for some outlet shopping ...

  6. That sounds like a really wonderful weekend :) And I miss outlet shopping in the States! We have just 1 outlet shopping village in Ireland at present and it's in another county so sadly I've yet to make a visit.

  7. Because you don't drive?

  8. Well yes that (although it's near a train station and there's a courtesy bus to and fro, but for outlet shopping you really don't want to be lugging all these shopping bags home by train!), and the fact that the outlet village hasn't been getting the rave reviews it's meant to have so it's hard to persuade my car-driving friends and family to make a trip down there...

Barber Shop in Chinatown

Nowadays I loathe to have my haircut, that's why I seldom have mine cut, maybe once or twice a year. I went back to Chinatown. I could ...
