Subway Reading

Wiggles' Greg Page is calling it quit. The very likable yellow Wiggle is leaving the band for good because of a rare disease that often leaves the 35-year old light-headed. According the the New York Times, his departure saddens many moms but seems to have little or no impact to the band's target demograhics, namely the toddlers. I must say I like the Wiggles too. Before Alex and Harry got suckered into the whole Japanese animation thing, they liked the Wiggles, especially Alex. He even went to one of Wiggles' concert in Madison Square Garden.

Masi Oka or better known as Hiro Nakamura in the run away NBC hit Heroes, has an IQ of 180, graduated from Brown with major in math and computer science and minor in theater. At age 10, he made the cover of Time magazine as one of a group of Asian America whiz kids. I like the Heroes show some what, I guess if I were 17 years old, I would like it more. More from the Times.

  2. Can you stop being stupid for one day?

I have no recollection of seeing Big Al in Cheung Sha Wan at all. I wasn't a fan of Police or George Michael.

I bumped into Christine yesterday in Quan Wan. Chrisine2006 hasn't changed much. I was wondering if Christine1981, like most schoolgirls then, also liked Cai Feng Hwa or Chen Bai Qiang. Vincent1981 liked Xu Xiao Feng. Sid1981 was besotted with Xun Ni for obvious reasons. Those were the days.

  4. I recalled that we did see the Big AL live in a cheap restaurant in Lai Kok Estate in Cheung Sha Wan, if not Robert, then must be Sid or others, probably not Vincent. I remember once Robert hide away himself from us because his in romancce with his little princess in Hong Kong, that's what happened in 1/4 of the century, now the secret file can be disclosed

  5. You know what I actually went to see Cai Feng Hwa in Tuen Mun with my mom. My mom was a fan of his. And I, for once in my lifetime, went with her to see him perform. It's the restaurant underneath Yan Oi Tong. I think from thereon, his career was going down south.
I wonder if my mom still remember that as she doesn't remember I called her 2 days ago on these days.

  7. Christine, the best accounting student in our class. She is like the only one that knew what the freak CK Chan was talking about.

He totally lost me in his class. It wasn't until many years later that I actually grasped a handle on the topic.

She is an assistant unit manager in an insurance company now. Can't believe she is in that business for 11 years. She used to work in Shun Xing (or so I remember), the sole distributor for Sony in HK. C'est la vie! The most talented accountancy student becomes an insurance salesperson while WP1981, who stole all of Guan Sir's intellectual efforts back then, becomes a teacher in IVE.

  9. "Those who can, do, those who can't, teach." What a put down to all the good teachers. But I think it applies to wp2006. Ouch.
