The much anticipated successor to the venerable 5D has finally arrived. Today Canon announced the EOS 5D Mark II, a full frame DSLR that can take full HD video at 1080p and 21 MP pictures. Now the question is: Can the thing focus?

Sure, the thing can focus. The question is to where.
ReplyDeleteThe 24mm f1.4 is nice. As far as rumors go, I think Nikon would have something coming out pretty soon. The noise is it may be a modular thingy. All of a sudden, the FF 12MP configuration seems so underwhelming.
ReplyDeleteIf the EOS 5D Mark II performs up to spec consistently, it's going to go down in history as a truly game changing model.
I believe the 24 f/1.4 will be good but the price would be...haha. I equally have confiedence that the 5D mark II will be as good as it could be. The new mid price 20+M pixel camera race just started with Sony and Canon as players leaving something for those Nikon fans to be longed.
