In Preparation For End of The World

I got this stove in anticipation and preparation for end of the world scenario.  I heard we are close.
The stove is the Optimus Nova multi fuel thing.  I heard it's good.   No explosion and I live to tell and show you guys the picture.  So it's all good.

I focused some five inches behind the stove.  Time to get autofocus lenses.

How much did you pay for your multi?
With your foot-long matches less than 2 feet from your stove, I am a bit worried about your safety. Take care.

  2. I bought it used for a grand total of $35. I thought it's a great deal.

Don't worry, I am meticulous when it comes to safety. But thank you. I got to learn how to use it from YouTube. Ha ha. I feel like I can just learn how to operate a nuclear reactor watching YouTube as well.

  3. It was a great deal. Make a fireball on top of the stove top and you are all set and ready to cook. It's not as complicated as a nuclear reactor.

  4. I typed some crap and it says service unavailable.

  5. Nuclear reactor is more spectacular. This is only one man's tragedy or at most a handful should something go seriously wrong.

Anyway, it's used, so I hope there is no leakage, I don't want to be the BBQ.

You could have burned your eyebrows and singed your beard. You are one lucky guy.

I can recall many years ago a friend of mine used a kerosene stove inside a tent. I didn't die of carbon monoxide poisoning then. And I didn't recall seeing any ball of fire. But with these MSR and Primus stoves, you just can't use them even in the porch outside your tent. Of course you can use butane/propane. But those cartridges are too bulky. Anyway, I am glad that your hair, eyebrows and beard are still intact.

  10. I know close to nothing about the myriad assortments of stoves and their fuel types. But I treat them like the fire bombs that they are with heightened caution and respect.

I didn't know I came across as so reckless or careless when using stoves.

When growing up my family used kerosene stove for cooking. And every year there were people who set their apartment on fire because of a flipped over kerosene stove. It happened every year on the news without exception.

Civil War (2024)

This is basically a Dorothy yellow brick road kind of story.  Also, something to do with the new replaces the old, the circle of life thing....
