This is the work of a pro, man, especially the choice of music. The only complaint that I have is that your room number is not 2046. I like it very much, Robert.
ReplyDelete1614 is not too bad, eh? The music is the same as the one in Chungking Express. So it's sorta tribute to WKW's beautiful people in shitty environment aka Chungking Express.
DeleteBTW, given your good old non-autofocus lens, how did you focus your subjects when you shot your video?
ReplyDeleteMany scenes aren't in focus, I guess they don't have to. In the opening sequence (I sound like there is really one), you can see me struggling to focus on the room number 1614. Without any aide, it's getting harder and harder to focus on liveview (through the LCD on the back) or the viewfinder (not when taking video anyway). Basically you turn the lens' focusing ring to focus. Autofocus doesn't work well in autofocus anyway.
DeleteI watched the whole thing. Given my attention span and my impatience with videos, that was VERY RARE. Great job! I am going to digitalise my videos as well. Any tips on adding some music?

Adding music is not bad. Found you music first either from your collection of mp3 or plunder online like YouTube. You can use vlc to stream and save the audio file on your pc. Just add the mp3 to your video. Either mute or delele the audio tracks from the oringinal footage. I don't people have very attention span especially my stuff isn't exactly Oscar material. So I tend to keep the lenghth down to 2 mins or shorter.
