ReplyDeleteThe funny thing about Hong Kong is in most ordinary eateries, the environment is _extremely_ dirty, that's you see dirty dishes in a bucket on the floor and left over food on the table right next to you. Yet, Hong Kong has the cleanest subway system ever, I guess on par with the very anal retentive Japanese. It's schizophrenic.
In a small restaurant like this one, one is going to and expected to seat with perfect strangers in close proximity. You have the option to ignore them or to friend with them. Either approach is appropriate. I just chose the latter, at least sometimes when I need to take their pictures or when the person is interesting.
