I did but probably not under the correct condition. i just went out the house and shot a few and during a star tracking session. I envision I shoot it in the wild with plenty of time to set things up. My 20-35 and 80-200 are 77mm so no adapter for me. But you are right, you want to buy the biggest one and just buy step up adapter ring for the smaller lenses. But this is really a very deliberate filter I think, you don't put it on and shoot away. Maybe one day when I got to Alaska I can use it.
